About Dealing with Viruses, Mac Left Behind 10 Years from Windows

The news about trojan that attacks thousands of Mac computers this month invite a comment from Kaspersky CEO, Eugene Kaspersky. Eugene said that Mac has been left behind 10 years from Windows, in terms of operating system security.


"Apple will realize very quickly that they are currently experiencing the same problem with Microsoft 10 years ago," Kaspersky said while speaking at Info Security 2012 which took place in London, on Wednesday.

So far, most viruses are created by cyber criminals is intended for Windows-based computers.

Microsoft is busy all the time because of these virus attacks. Microsoft should improve and update their Windows when a security hole is found.

Python Virus Attack Mac and Windows

Mac users just shocked by the appearance of Flashback malware. Now, there are another malicious programs that are also designed to attack Windows. The virus is detected as Mal/20113544-A and Mal/JavaCmC-A.


According to security vendor Sophos, virus was made using python programming language and assaulted by exploiting loopholes that exist in Java. Whether it's also Windows version or Mac OS version.

If the virus succeed to infiltrate, its will download the files needed to launch the action. The downloaded file is different depending on operating system used by the victim.

Apple want to wipe all virus on Mac OS X

Apple will not tolerate the presence of virus on their operating system, Mac OS X. Flashback Trojan that have attacked about 600 units Macintosh try to be exterminated totally.

"Apple is making software that can directly detect and remove malware Trojan Flashback," said Apple support page on their website.



Trojan Flashback has been doing dirty work according to data received from server computer that controlled the creator of malware. To exterminate them, Apple is working with internet service provider to shut down this command and control the network.

Quoted from Australian IT, Apple had act immediately by patching the security hole. Apple released the update OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion).
