Beat Internet Explorer, Google Chrome is the most widely used Browser in the World


Google Chrome has long been expected will surpass Microsoft Internet Explorer as the most widely used browser in the world. This year, Chrome finally broke their new position last week. StatCounter research institute released a report about the most widely used web browser in the world. The result, Google Chrome has managed to surpass Internet Explorer for the first time this year.



Actually, in the end of 2011 Google Chrome had beat Internet Explorer for the first time as the most popular browser in the world.

But even Google Chrome has become the most widely used browser globally, Internet Explorer still dominates the usage internet browsing in North America, including United States.

StatCounter was released data about the most widely used internet browser every week.

Different devices, Google Chrome Tab will not missing


Imagine the following conditions: you find an interesting recipe while browsing in the office. When you want to try that recipes at home, you forget what materials are needed. No other way, the recipes must be searched again. Sometime you can't find the recipe if you forget how you can arrived to that website.

Now the situation can be overcome, at least by Google Chrome browser. Latest version of Google Chrome can synchronize the browser tabs between different devices.

As reported on Vr.Zone.com, by logging in to your Google, Chrome users can save tabs that already opened in the browser, and then you can access them from other computer or mobile device. Not only that tab can be stored, users can navigate "back" and "forward" to what you ever opened on the browser, so it's really like to continue browsing from the previous computer.


Mon.ki: Integrate Google Chrome Web page with Twitter Conversations

Mon.ki often referred as social surfing application. Because this tool is able to synergize web pages with  Twitter. Mon.ki will be used as one of Google Chrome extension. So you must first download the tool (1.6 Mb) from Google Web Store.


With Mon.ki, a web page that is opened will be paired with conversation that occurred in Twitter. Mon.ki itself will appear on the right of Google Chrome browser screen.

Mon.ki will automatically reconcile similar topics of conversation with the content being opened in user's Chrome browser. Then Mon.ki will find the whole topic of web pages that are opened to display tweets related to the content that being read by the users.

Google Chrome has now reached version 18 .


Firefox, Mozilla open source browser has been popular among Windows users, Mac and Linux has now reached the release of Firefox 11 .

Apple Safari and Opera browser even though it was still less popular with 3 browsers above, but Apple's Safari is the Apple basic browser for Macintosh users, while Opera itself has many innovative features to the browser.

Microsoft: Chrome Defeat Internet Explorer? That is misleading


Internet browser market competition is quite fierce, earlier reports said that Google's browser, Chrome has beat the "king" of Internet Browser market share, Internet Explorer. Statistical data on browser market share lead to positive and negative views of various parties, especially about the validity of the data and the reaction of browser developers. Many have commented positive and negative to browser user statistics that published by StatCounter, as well as Microsoft, the creator of Internet Explorer browser.

Microsoft says that the data generated StatCounter is not true and misleading. Microsoft argued that the calculation of market share by StatCounter is based solely of the users without considering geoweighting.

Sony prepare Chrome OS Laptop

Sony that famous for their VAIO products now is preparing a laptop that will use Chrome operating system. Chrome OS itself is Google's operating system based on cloud computing (Cloud Computing), which is dominated by Google's web browser with high security because it use Linux-based OS.

This report is derived from the documents submitted to the FCC, that Sony is preparing VAIO laptop with Google Chrome OS with an estimated specifications are 11.6-inch screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB port, HDMI output and SD card slot.

Cut Through Google Security, Hacker got $ 66,000

Not long time ago, Google make a challenge for whoever can find security holes in Google Chrome browser will received prize reward. A hacker managed to answer them, so he will receive $ 60,000. It's a hacker from Russia, Sergey Glazunov who found remote code execution vulnerability in Google Chrome browser.


He demonstrated how to exploit loopholes to pass Google Chrome's sandbox (a system that block hackers who want to control user's device). After passed sandbox, he also managed to run unauthorized code on Windows 7. He showed his skill on Google contest Google Pwnium that held in Canada. At the contest, Google provides cash prizes for the hacker who can broke through the security system. Total prizes provided around $ 1 million.

Google Ready to pay $ 66,000 for who's able to hack chrome

To compete and win in internet browser competition, Google continues to strive to improve the quality and safety of its browser, Google Chrome. For approximately two years, Chrome with Chromium Security Reward Program which give a reward for developers who are able to find security holes, cracks and bug in Google Chrome.
 
At the CanSecWest security conference in Vancouver, Canada, that will be held this March 7-9, Google will sponsor a challenge program to exploit Chrome with total reward of $ 1 million.
