Microsoft released software Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) version 4.0 on Tuesday (04/24/2012). Microsoft Security Essentials is an antivirus software and anti-malware that can be downloaded and used by the Windows users. Not only Windows 7 and Windows Vista that gets an update, but Windows XP will also get this update.
Microsoft describes that one of Microsoft Security Essentials features, Automatic Remediation is already upgraded in this update. Thus, virus or malware that attack your computer will automatically go into quarantine, even if user has not issued quarantine order.
To use of MSE does not require registration and have no expiration. Microsoft also does not limit MSE downloads specifically for computers that running purchased Windows operating system.
MSE 4.0 is available at Microsoft Download Center or at official Microsoft Security Essentials website.
