As previously reported, Intel will launch new generation of processors, Ivy Bridge as the successor of last Intel processors on the market today.
Before launching Core i3 Ivy Bridge to the market, Intel first will launch its flagship Core i7 and Core i5. Core i3 generation Ivy Bridge for desktop is estimated will be available on June in three models.
As quoted from VR-Zone, three models are Core i3-3220, Cire i3 3225 and Core i3 3240. The first model, Core i3 3220 is priced $ 149 according to some online store in Europe.
The second model, Core i3 3225 is priced at around $ 172. This model has been equipped with sophisticated Intel graphics, Intel HD Graphics 4000.
If compared with Sandy Bridge generation that have been equipped by Intel HD 2000/3000 graphics, Intel HD 4000 will have significant improvement.
Last model is Core i3 3240 that is priced not much different from Core i3 3225. It's approximately $ 175, slightly cheper than cheapest Core i5 Ivy Bridge, Core i5 3450 that is priced approximately $ 214. Although slightly adrift with the cheapest Core i5, but Intel believes Core i3 3240 will still salable, because not everyone needs quad-core like Core i5 3450.
