Former Google CEO No Longer paid 1 U.S. Dollar

Initially, Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt salary has the same as salary as Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs. He only get paid 1 U.S. dollar per year . However, after promoted become Executive Chairman of Google, Schmidt salary rose to 1.25 million dollars per year.


According to Associated Press, Eric Schmidt just release her position as Google CEO in late April 2011. His positions are then handed over to new CEO, Larry Page. Google's Schmidt has been CEO for 10 years although paid only $ 1 per year since 2005. Schmidt income in 2011 was about 937.500 U.S. dollars.

According to documents filed to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, that salary still will be added by compensation of U.S. $ 6 million bonus and subvention worth nearly 264,000 U.S. dollars.

This amount is not included with the package of shares and stock options whose value is close to 100 million U.S. dollars.

Overall, for 2011, Schmidt will receive a compensation package worth 101 million U.S. dollars.
 That number was increased 322-fold compared with U.S. $ 313,219 package that Schmidt received in 2010. Initial public offering (initial public offering / IPO) of Google stock in August 2004 has made​ Schmidt and two Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin very rich.

Those three people are named as multibillionaires and mentioned in world's richest man list according to Forbes magazine. Schmidt was even ready to sell his shares in order to minimize market impact and to increase his cash.

In the latest Forbes ranking, Page was in position to-39 and Brin at the 38th position. Each has wealth worth nearly 19 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, Forbes estimates that Schmidt wealth is approximately 7 billion dollars.
