Asetek have debuted for laptop use liquid cooling solution (water cooling) for a gaming laptop, workstation systems and All-In-One (AIO) PC. Ole Madsen, Asetek representative said that a fundamental challenge to provide water cooling solution is the lack of space and proper cooling systems.
As quoted from TGDaily, Ole Madsen also said that liquid-cooled for laptop currently does not offer a significant performance compared to one that using heat-pipe cooling and heatsink.
"We have successfully cracked the code to improve the acoustic performance and cooling in the notebook without having to take up much space," said Ole Madsen.
Asetek has been patented the technology, this solution enables better utilization of CPU and GPU cooling module. Asetek using coldplate technology that is already optimized.
Asetek demonstrating liquid cooling technology (water cooling) on the new Alienware M18x gaming laptop with a processor that has been overclocked from 3.5 GHz to 4.4 GHz and graphics also be overclocked from 680MHz to 800MHz. Alienware M18x has improved performance up to 23% in 3D Mark Vantage benchmark for overclock. New Asetek water cooling can significantly reduce the heat.
