Sony prepare Chrome OS Laptop

Sony that famous for their VAIO products now is preparing a laptop that will use Chrome operating system. Chrome OS itself is Google's operating system based on cloud computing (Cloud Computing), which is dominated by Google's web browser with high security because it use Linux-based OS.

This report is derived from the documents submitted to the FCC, that Sony is preparing VAIO laptop with Google Chrome OS with an estimated specifications are 11.6-inch screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB port, HDMI output and SD card slot.

Based on these documents, VAIO Chromebook is powered by CPU with code T25. T25 may refer to the Nvidia Tegra 2250 which has dual-core specification with speed of 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A9. The last Chromebook using Intel Atom as its CPU. Samsung and Acer has launched their Chromebook last year after Google successfully tested Chromebook prototype.

Samsung Chromebook Series 5 has decent sales results, it ranks #27 of the best-selling laptops on Amazon. Chrome OS itself still has many shortcomings, in addition to dependence on the internet, Chrome OS is considered very bad for intensive internet browsing, it does make Google Chrome to revamp the OS.

Google Chrome OS is now made up with full screen and supports systems with a window. Chrome's latest OS has a window manager named Aura, so the users will be more familiar with more conventional operating system.

Current window manager Aura still in development, so it is unclear when it will be used on  Chromebook. Some sources say that Sony VAIO Chromebook will be launched at Roadmap I / O Conference event in June.
